Is Custom Slaughtering Legal in MO?

If I’m wandering from the topics some of you might enjoy, forgive me, when my interest grabs a hold of something, as anyone in my family will tell you, a little information, to put it mildly, is not enough.
Just be glad I’m not posting actual slaughtering pictures yet, and instead bring to you a cuddly lamb.
Never say I didn’t care.
Someone asked if custom slaughtering was legal in MO, and the answer is yes.
According to 9 CFR 303.1, a Retail Store:
4. Can engage in custom slaughtering or processing if conditions for custom exemptions are met. Sale of products from uninspected slaughtered livestock is prohibited.
What those conditions are, I do not precisely know, as I’ve only skimmed the information for now, but to further prove this fact, I also found this directory of meat processing plants that specifically lists Special D Meats in Macon, MO and Tendersticks in Palmyra as offering custom slaughtering.
