St. Louis Fast Food News

| I am thoroughly impressed that Imo’s Pizza made this list of “Top 10 Highest-Rate Fast-Food Chains” in QSR Magazine. Panera also did, but I find that considerably less shocking.
And in other St. Louis Fast Food News, I’m thrilled to see that Dunkin’ Donuts is making they’re triumphant return to The Lou. Seriously. Quick-Serve Restaurant for those of you wondering. |

God, for a second there, I thought Dunkin’ Donuts was serving pizza now. Freakin’ Photoshop.

The Imo’s I worked at on Tesson Ferry was spotless, and served a great product. I think there franchise screening process is pretty tough, and not just anyone can get one. And it sure wouldn’t hurt to know any of the Imo’s personally.
For the most part I think that most of there places serve better to good food. There’s always a few lemons though…

Ian – Your eyes weren’t deceiving you . . . check out the bottom of the linked article – DD IS planning to offer flatbread pizzas and toasted sandwiches.
Since I’m not from around here, I don’t “get” Imo’s – I guess you had to grow up with it. Give me Pizza Hut, Papa John’s or even Domino’s any day. Still, it’s a) good to see two local chains making a national list, and b) scary to think how awful the the industry must be overall to see these two in the top ten!

What part?

Bread Company – they’re pretty good – could be quicker at times, but they do a pretty good job and deserve a spot in the top ten.
Imo’s – like I said, I didn’t grow up with them, so I don’t get the local appreciation of the cardboard crust, the slimy Provel cheese, and a tendency for delivery to equal toppings that slide off to one side of the box – that’s the “scary” part.
Personally, I’m surprised that Chipotle, Noodles & Co., Penn Station, Fat Burger and Tokyo Joe’s all didn’t crack the top ten . . .

totally new perspective in our outlook. I honestly believe yours is one of
the best blogs on the web. Thanks for the nice work.
