Pi

No matter how many times I see this sign, or hear the name of the restaurant and when they’re opening, I think the following two things.

  1. Damn that’s clever even if it is painfully obvious.
  2. Why the hell didn’t I think of that? I mean come on…pizza across from The Pageant…even it it turns out to just be just okay they’re going to rake money in hand over fist–especially when you factor in the fact that you can take basically any food into The Pageant.

When I lived in PHG, there was a Pi in Squirrel Hill. It was some of the best neopolitan-style pizza in town. Mineo’s was my other favorite. Is this a franchise or is it an independently owed joint.

  2. bb Says:

It is an independently owned chain.

A local guy lived in Cali for a few years and moved back. He says it’s “California style pizza” whatever that is.

I inadvertently met him as he went to high school with one of my friends.

Whats the pageant, and they should add desert pies to the menu.

It’s our mid-size concert venue in St. Louis. http://www.thepageant.com

I have pity on you st.louis folks. I know of the pizza that PI is going to serve. Addiction to drugs is the closest thing to it. It is not just good, its ridiculous. Its on my weekly take out or eat in menu every week. There is nothing else like it, to satisfy your craving. You’ll be hooked. It should be a controlled substance… :)

    Annie,

I just moved here from “PGH”

Boy I missed mineo’s… their plain cheese is to die for…

    Never tried Pi though…

Will try Pi in STL tonight

just got word that Pi in PGH closed a year or two ago. But, nothing beat Mineo’s. I was a spinach and garlic girl….when not eating it plain. going there in June…can’t wait.

I had Pi in Pittsburgh once. It was pretty good. But nothing compares to Mineo’s!

As far as I’m concerned, as long at Pi doesn’t use that provel processed cheese, it has to be better than most pizza in St. Louis!

i will admit that I do like provel, but that is b/c i was born here and it’s just something i like. but i can appreciate a true pie.
