Just had a great dining experience at Katie's. I had my first Stella in a frosted glass and it was heavenly. The service was incredible. The pizza menu seemed limited, but a friend and I tried the asparagus. and four cheeses and both were incredible. I will be back!

Yes, I agree. Katie is not a friendly person. And doesn't take criticism very well. She needs to learn how to handle guests complaints. It has to be hurting the business.

First, I could totally see Clayton-reared Katie saying something along the lines of "Go back to West County" (and I say this as a fan of the place).

But Jeanne, you've got to be leaving out part of the story.

We ate at Katie's last weekend and had a very negative experience. Food was average; service was VERY slow (over an hour to get one of our 4 pizzas) and, when we commented (politely and professionally) to the owner (Katie herself), she became very hostile and told us to go back to West County and never come back. For the record, no one in our party was from West County. I would not recommend it.

I was thinking their wine prices weren't bad until you mentioned that. That is too high.

I've read great reviews of that Zardini Valpolicella, and at $32, it's a good price (it's $20-24 retail, but I've never seen it anywhere else in town).

Thanks for posting the menu and wine list. Katie's is charging $12.00 more than Sidney Street for a bottle of Ramsay pinot noir.

Dan, you beat me to it. I think I could make a fortune proofreading menus and charging by the inappropriate apostrophe.
