Assumption Greek Orthodox Church

Here are some pictures from one of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church Friday luncheons I went to.
The menu changes weekly, and you can see what’s available in advance on their website.

for a minute there I was like “what?? chicken?? it’s Lent! How do they get away with that?” Then I remembered they are Orthodox and their Lent hadn’t started when you were there.

St. Raymond’s Maronite Church has Weds. Lebanese Lunch. Glad to see Assumption is representin’ in West Co.

There is a greek orthodox church in the city. We went to the greek festival a couple years ago (around the time my big fat greek wedding was all the rage and greeks were in for like 2 weeks) and had lots of good food and incredibly strange coffee. It was nice. I wonder if its still going on and they just do not advertise as heavy since the whole greek train has passed.

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Chruch. Alive and kicking. On the corner of Kingshighway and Forest Park Pkwy.

My coworkers and I go to this church every Friday. I order the gyro but ask for it open face on a plate, that way I get the toppings put on fresh instead of having it possibly wrapped for quite some time.

Several of my friends and I have enjoyed Friday meals at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in St. Louis. We are discussing going to the Labor Day festival. What days and hours will it be held. We are mainly interested in Monday…Labor Day.

Please inform me about the days of the festival. Thanks.
