Pappy’s Whole Hog

image2050249339.jpgSo there you are thinking, “I’ll go get that delicious whole hog sandwich around three.”

And here I am saying, “the line was to the back door when I got there around 11:30, and it’s out the back door as I’m leaving around 12:30.”

So Rethink that time frame because you don’t want to miss this. Hell, even mayor Slay was here working the photo op.

You took that? You had to be standing directly behind me. I ate lunch with the guy in the green cap.

I came in around two and got a pound’s worth of it, no line, no problem.

MAN, I love that place. It’s the kind of barbecue place where it’s a serious dilemma whether to eat the ribs plain to taste the rub, or to use one of the sauces, because in any case, it tastes amazing.

Had the pork. It was good.

Agreed, Eric, although I opt for no sauce on the ribs, and sauce on other things. And doubly cool since the proceeds went to Cardinal Glennon today. That was great to see.

Dan, don’t you find it weird that someone we both know was that close to us, yet didn’t bother to say hello?

We could have a stalker on our hands…

Good point, Mac. Especially one that was apparently taking pictures.
